What will it be like to play with 255 other players at the same time in the same massive, intense environment? Some years ago, when 16-player Deathmatch was considered the absolute cutting edge of online gaming, that question would be laughable.
But not these days. The guys at Zipper Interactive plan to break new ground in the world of Internet multiplayer experiences, as MAG is primed to be both innovative and revolutionary. If you've been following along, you've already seen the big interview that provided us with plenty of new information and details (we're still all amped up from that), and you may be champing at the bit. Perhaps most interesting is the fact that GameStop slaps a November 24 release date on MAG and if that's accurate, this MMO is guaranteed to be one of the hottest titles for the 2009 holiday season. The hype is already building at an impressive pace and at this rate, the world could be totally MAG -crazy by the time Thanksgiving rolls around. Oh, and let's not forget that more hype can be generated by the beta that Zipper Interactive confirmed in that interview…

stupid thing to do in my opinion do they know modernwarfare 2 comes out around that time as much as im looking forward to mag im sorry but most people will pick modernwarfare allday long.got this very wrong if it is true.

You might be correct but a 256 player game really makes a loud noise.If Mag turns out how it sounds and If MW2 turns out to be a little upgrade from the other Mag could take some of it's thunder away.

i've seen the date 09/10/2009 (DD/MM/YYYY) being advertised on some sites.
Hmmm i don't think this is a smart move for the game? to many games are released around that time.
TBH, 16 player DM is still laughable today. It's not possible without lag unless you're on PC or Dedicated servers.
I personally can't wait for MAG but I know I'll love MW2 more so there's no hope of me playing it that much.

Not everyone cares about COD,I know I don't so let them release the game when they want.Though this is not concrete since Sony has not confirmed it and GS just randomly post release dates to get pre-orders.Seriously,you people act like COD is the best thing since chocolate chip cookies.COD did not effect R2's sales which were great and I bought R2 and passed on COD5 personally.
I don't get it either.I would get more excited for MW2 if it didn't come out every single year.So I am MAG all the way.
If it comes down to MAG and MW2 its MAG for me all the way. Easiest choice ever made.
