They're calling it the first official unveiling of this hotly anticipated online game, and Jeff Rubenstein talks to Zipper Interactive's vice-president Michael Gutmann; it's a must-see interview ! They talk about a huge number of topics, but here's a taste before you click the link and watch the entire video: the game has been in development for over three years, there's actually a storyline in existence, the game will be free, and the team has worked on special communication tools to handle the ridiculous number of players that participate at once. We really love the idea of total chaos and a completely new type of battle that we've never seen before; they're using combat we might be familiar with in the past, but the scale and size is absolutely mind-boggling. "Objective-based" game modes sound extra appealing to us, even though the "Domination maps" should also be super fun. What won't this game offer?

Im wondering if after you die you can respawn, because I hope you cant to add a greater sense of realism.
I think I heard that you parachute in after dying.
It would be cooler if you have a 10-25 second respond, and while your waiting they show you inside the plane ready to paracute off!!
So it IS free to play? Now I'm getting it for sure, I'm sorry but I have to be a Fanman here a moment: 360 owners are gonna be sad and/or furious when this releases.

they seem to ignore all the other great games that come out pretty well.
Yeah they pretty much make believe that the game doesn't exist or make up lies on how is failing.
360 fans doesnt seem to be excited about any of the ps3 exclusive games. exception being mgs4.
when i sit in a chat box in the 360, half the conversation is about how crappy the ps3 is.
when i sit in a chat box in a ps3, no one really talks about the 360.
again, this is generally speaking.
How can this be the first official unveiling when it was unveiled at E3 last year? Do you mean like the first official informational unveiling? lol
This is good news , a lot of people in the forums didn't like the idea of paying a subscription fee .

No, I didn't understand either. I thought maybe it would be free to download, but then you pay per month or something.
Im guessing they will make up the Sever cost by having micro-transactions,like being able to download new wepon skins and stuff. Hell it works for HOME so MAG should fare well.
I think it'll be a boxed game like Call of Duty for example, then you just go to play online and get into the game…or maybe I've got it wrong??

@SHADOW: Qore is different,it's not a monthly fee to play a game and is not required to better enjoy your PS3.It's more like an online magazine,besides they give out one free episode once and a while.
Ya, really, I don't really know Qore that can even be compared. Shadow seems to be a very sarcastic, and somewhat negative, character.
MAG obviously you have to pay for the game, its free to play online like socom confrontation KZ2 R2 and so on.

I can see it now, PS3 owners across the world going to (both virtual and real) war as the 3 factions.
I also see many 360 owners crapping themselves and being violently sick with shoooter envy as they look down at there wimpy Halo's online capacity and wonder why it is so small. Ok that was way to fanboyish but who cares…256 PLAYERS ONLINE FTW!!!!!
