We always welcome any and all new information concerning White Knight Chronicles , and that's simply because we desperately desire a fantastic role-playing PlayStation 3 exclusive…and we want one well before Final Fantasy Versus XIII .
Hopefully, you've already watched the PlayStation blog interview with White Knight Chronicles US Producer Tsubasa Inaba. But the information doesn't stop there: thanks to a summarized rundown over at GameInfoWire , you can view more baseline info for the game. There are a few details on the storyline, which you are more than welcome to read for yourself (let's just say there's some good old-fashioned rescuing of princesses goin' on), and the Key Features are definitely going to pique your interest. We already know about the White Knight Transformation and the Fully Customizable Avatar (as explained by Inaba), but there's also more about the Combo Battle System (customize your own attacks!), and we learn that there will be 13 stages and 6 towns/villages to visit. These stages include "lush fields, open desert, vast wastelands, tunnels, and ruins." Furthermore, there are a total of 6 playable characters with up to 3 in battle at any given time, and the camera has a special name: it's the Crystal Camera, which can be used to take your own pictures as you progress through the adventure.
As far as we're concerned, WKC is one of our most anticipated PS3 exclusives thus far and we're really hoping we get a concrete North American release date at E3. Keep those fingers crossed, RPG fans!

Don't get me wrong, I'm eager to get my hands on this one as much as the next PS3 owner, but doesn't "6 towns" seem kind of small for an RPG? My only thought is that maybe this RPG doesn't take place across the whole world?
Yeah I'm definitely concerned about the length of this game
I guess it all depends on the size of the towns? I mean, if they're the size of the typical towns in a D&D game you know an inn, a cleric's shop, a magic shop, a weapons shop an armor depot, a general store and a place to buy potions and such, then sure it'll be limited. However if the towns are a) larger, and b) woven into the story, then there should be no issue here.
@pirate
You shouldn't, at least 100 hours aren't enough for you, but even then you can get additional 1 hour quests and play online. If something is a non-issue in this game is its length.
I see this game looks gorgeous but is it running at 720p or 1080p?
from watching the live feed back in december, these towns are huge

I think we were told 1080p
Why just North America? How about EU?
weeble and bob-classic
Hopefully, these six towns will be vast and unlike your typical small and underwhelmed JRPG towns of the past. Also, I can see a lot of interaction in a single town if it's a world in of itself. Like there is so much you can do in most of the towns in Oblivion. If WKC takes a similar approach, I think this would be great. And not taking place across the whole world is a good thing in my book a lot like the Suikoden series.
The creators repeatedly said they are focusing on "scale" in this game, having "giant" everything, so hopefully that applies to the explorable areas as well.

I think one town is a big ass city on top of a huge monster's back, so that should give you an idea.
I think Ben is pure evil… haha… He's making me buy all these great games…
Must…. resist….. (gives in)
Can't wait! I'm already sold on this game, first day purchase.
I will frag any one of you to get my hands on this game 😀 muahaha
Must buy first day 🙂 So looking forward to this game.
it wasnt rated that well in japan tho was it???
Yes, but Famitsu isn't always completely reliable, haven't there been recent high profile games that have had great scores from Famitsu that turned out to be total drek?
I have been interested in this game from the beginning, and now it seems as though we will be getting a very very good RPG finally!
i agree on Famitsu not being reliable, their perfect rating on Nintendogs proved this….
LOL! Woof!
Famitsu is many things, but one thing it is not is the holy grail of objective game reviews (not that anyone else is either of course!).
I'm hoping to play this game after I beat Infamous. I'm praying for a July released date of the NA version of White Knight Chronicles.
unlikely since they just started the English voices and it's supposed to be a heavy script.
I want KH3!! D: im not even going to buy a ps3 until it comes out….maybe they'll make a bundle 😀
K I need a release date for this game, I want it so bad!
Me too.
Well my country gets it with EU release dates so as soon as Europe gets it I can get it…. So hopefully that will be sooner than later.
Anyway where is Oceania? Or am I just being stupid here?
You're just being STEWPEED.
lol, just kidding (kinda').
It's the region that holds the islands of Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and many more.
=D
EDIT: 1st time I spelt Papua wrong 🙁

im just concerned if they would be making crappy release dates conflicting with other AAA titles.
EX: Resistance2 launching on presidential election day, comes out a week difference and right in the middle of fable2 and gears of war2.
Heavy Rain coming out 1 day before COD:modern warfare2 comes out(source:gamestop release date)
i hope WKC doesnt have a release date the same as final fantasy 13.
fingers crossed!
