Regardless of how good a game is when it first launches, developers can always make it a little better with the help of patches and updates.

Guerilla has detailed the list of fixes and enhancements we can expect with patch 1.21 for Killzone 2 . According to GamersDigest, the patch should be available "early next week," and it features plenty of significant additions. For instance, online bots will return, there will be a new option to create unranked games (just for fun, you know?), a certain "fix to Sensitivity setting" when the weapon animation didn't really follow the reticule accurately, and a general stability update that should deal with disconnect issues when online. Feel free to check out the full list and when the patch pops up to download next week, be thankful for Guerilla's effort. We've already heard that these guys are ready to come down hard on cheaters, and with this patch news, it's clear that Guerilla isn't about to sit on their laurels and bask in the success of Killzone 2 . Nope, they're gonna keep working to insure that their FPS masterpiece remains at the top of its game (no pun intended).

There are plenty of fixes included in patch 1.21, but what else would you want Guerilla to address in the future? Are there other issues? For our part, we think KZ2 is pretty damn sweet and will be even better after this new patch; it's hard to come up with more problems.

KZ2 is running so nice right now (aside from a powersurge knocking out my router, /sigh) that its hard to imagine there being a drastic effect form this update. Other than the awesome PR GG is doing by being so attentive to the title.

Well I know it won't be comming in this patch but I would love to see second rank ribbons. Because It would really extend gameplay if I had more to fight for

Now this is quality PR from a quality developer which we as PS3 owners should be proud of. These guys are making an amazing name for themselves and Sony. This game is indeed a system seller and represents quality. Sony treat these guys good please. This is what quality exclusives is about and again This is what Sony is about. Sorry can't say the same for you Microsoft. Lol's

Only thing I want to see is a expanded ranking system for online. Maybe a party system like Resistance 2 also. Other than that it's perfect to me.

Party system, more maps, the vehicles that they said they were going to add, and co-op of course 🙂 i mean the game seems like it's made for co-op since you have a partner, almost, throughout the whole game.

please no vehicles. They would unbalance everything.

excellent job GG. Why do I feel like this game is underrated and not appreciated as much as COD is .

Because so many ignorant people think it's just a COD/other FPS copycat, so COD (or other FPS) gets all the glory.

YES, finally someone tackling the disconnects. This is gonna help me run the PSXE clan a LOT.

Now, can we get 2 new maps next time?

so long as they don't alter the controls I'm good in regards to future updates. I can't really think of anything to fix since the game was shipped pretty much flawless.

However, maybe they could extend the longevity of the leveling system and add some further incentive to leveling up, idk.

They left out something that is incredibly important in this day and age: a party system. And coop, seeing as how this game was made for coop and how most other FPSs nowadays have it.

But otherwise, good patch GG, and keep it up.

I'm almost positive coop is coming soon.

I cannot believe more people across the internet aren't requesting extended online ranking (15hrs of online play is a major joke…15hrs is less than a beta test)…and more maps, 8 maps is way too low…

These 2 additions would make the online component of this game way above anything else out there…until then, it's a notch below

This is for the online peeps I presume. I mean if a play through was to happen which I am sure it will at some point when I get around to it I will notice some changes if any or will it all seem smoother than the first time around.

If it makes my playing online even better then I am not arguing. It is good that devs can fix stuff they have fuc*ed up on and realise this as without us paying for games at the end of the day they dont get paid and they get paid far more than we do I presume, I don't know job values etc.

I am not ashamed to say I take home 14.5k+ not counting tax not etc and thats a general guess but I still struggle on that to buy a game or 2 a month. At least I am a working bod unlike some of our readers here, some are students or even kids who get what pocket money their parents can provide at this time in current world market.

I wouldn't mind if it added co-op but it isn't a necessity. Just a more extensive ranking system and party system is all I ask and I'm good.

KZ2 SERIOUSLY needs a "Mute All" option for online! It is the best FPS made, yes, but nothing spoils an online-match worse than hearing players talk over your TV speakers! The headset volume in "options" doesn't affect this, leaving you two choices-either turn-down your TV volume or select EACH offending player and select MUTE for each one. (BLEAH!) Warhawk has it…, maybe the next patch, Guerilla?
