Well, it's time to ask the million-dollar question: is…it…legit?
This YouTube video seems to show a teaser trailer for Dead Rising 2 , but there are a few problems with that conclusion. Firstly, despite any supposed "confirmed" rumors you may have heard, Capcom has not made an official announcement concerning the existence of a sequel. Secondly, without any real source behind the posting of the video, it's impossible to label it as solid fact. But it seems to work out, doesn't it? You've got the allusion to "the Willamette incident" (home of the zombie slashfest in the original), some mention of a drug called "Zombrex" that is "almost completely effective" in stopping the spread of the zombie virus in the body, and then, the Las Vegas-style environment. Now, it would make perfect sense to us if the sequel took place in Vegas or a fictional town similar to the city of sin, and as far as we're concerned, we're gonna call this a leaked video. "Leaked," as in, it came from an official source but shouldn't have been released in any form just yet. GameSpot doesn't think it's bogus, and although we can't issue anything official, we have to agree.
Capcom hasn't announced the game, but if/when they do, we're just assuming this sequel will be multiplatform. Yes, the original was a Xbox 360 exclusive, but times have changed drastically since then and Capcom's position is clearly one of a multiplatform developer and publisher right now.
COME ON BEN!! I POSTED THIS ON THE GOD OF WAR GAME INFORMER PAGE!! I WANT A LITTLE CREDIT lol
Did u see that Giant size Gladiator roller ball? Sicking!
Yea looks awsome, stop the video at 43 sec to see i guess the main Character in a Megaman suit.
*Pops 2 Zombrexes* Hmm, it's not quite helping.
Blaaaarrrrg!
if theres co-op ill buy it, i mean come on zombie games or anything with zombies for that matter deserve co-op
Also is it possible that this could be a modded version of the first Dead Rising?
Sounds like a hoot, but it begs the question: If a zombie takes the time to break into a casino, amble across the pit, drag down some unsuspecting dolt at the craps table, and gnosh on his brain, shouldn't he be entitled to free drinks, too? I'm just sayin'…
Hey if it's Vegas do we get to kill(zone) Zombie strippers?
I live in Vegas and I will say, the strippers here are all ready zombies.
You bastard, I love Vegas.
Finally, the first one was the only reason I ever bought a 360.
I looks legit to me. I like how they tried to make it look like somebody filmed it on their tv. I don't think it was "leaked" at all. Capcom probably released it on purpose to stir up interest.
@Ben, is that screenshot from the first Dead Rising? I read Las Vegas and thought the picture was of Freemont Street. (I stayed at the Golden Nugget one time)
I totally agree with your first paragraph. At times, the camera would suddenly zoom into the tv, making Me think it's actually made by capcom. We will see soon.
DR1 is the ONLY 360 game i want,
I want Mass Effect and Dead Rising.
I think I'll just get Mass Effect on PC (provided it works with this old tank)
I have the original and I love it. I hope it does come out for everyone that way the guys that dont have it or have a 360 can get it 🙂
