The economy? Bah. Bring on the fancy TVs!

We know what Sony will be previewing at the Consumer Electronics Show today, and it's now clear that those awesome games will have the benefit of 150 Bravia TVs. The video presentation at the show is downright epic; Sony is showing off three OLED TVs, the new Vaio P mini notebook, LED backlit TVs, and several different top-of-the-line Bravia TVs, all located on every possible level of Sony's area. If you want to get a great look at the insanity, check out the screenshots courtesy of PCAuthority, which not only shows the crowd on hand, but the very slick Sony presentation. They also mention that Samsung has 117 LCD TVs hanging around, too, so it's fairly obvious that the big boys aren't pulling any punches just 'cuz the economy's a little low. Now, all we need is Killzone 2 being played simultaneously on all 150 Bravias, and every last attendee can gaze on in wonder and awe…some may even need medical attention. Can't that many TVs cause seizures?

Anyway, stay tuned for any breaking news that comes from the show (just don't hold your breath), and we'll try to locate as much game footage as possible. We would like a lengthy Infamous gameplay trailer, please.

Wow, just simply amazing…so much for tightening belts. So we can assume from this that the tele and laptop division is safe from any premature deaths due to the economy.

T want an xbr7/8, but Sony keeps on releasing new models (3 last year), they're expensive, and next to impossible to find used. I'm wondering if I should just go Samsung.

I know a guy who had an x360 and a ps3 along with a HUGE HDTV. He kept sayin the ps3 sucked bla bla bla. When I went over I asked if he had an HDMI cable and he said he did, he just didn't know where it went. He was running the standard stock cables for each console!!! Well, I helped the guy out, connected his HDMI and he has jumped on the bandwagon. All Hail the PS3!!!!

You would think people would do a little research on their investment, or take a little time to make sure their setup was functional after spending that much coin on it.

Good thing this wasn't in Cali, someone's tryin to outlaw high energy use TVs there. I bet they just hand these out to big shots after the show. Lucky F*ucks.

<<<< Can't that many TVs cause seizures?>>>>

Not sure, but if they're willing to donate 5 of them in the name of "the science of bettering humanity", then I'm also willing to be their life-long guinea pig

You think it'd takes a week of 24 hour days to set 'em all up? I could set up one in 30-min or less. Heck it was probably arranged for all of them just to need to be plugged in.

I know I sound a hypocrit, as I own a PS3 and its a power drainer, but this is far too excessive. I wouldn't consider myself an eco-freak, but still….

The bigger TV you have the more flaws in games you see. I have a 40" 1080p LCD and many PS3 games "few of which support 1080p". Some games look pretty good in that LCD and some games look worse than cr****p (like TC RainbowSix Vegas)!
