The first big show of the year kicks off in fine form today, as Sony plans to break out the blockbuster 2009 titles for the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Although it's not typically a place for huge announcements, that won't stop Sony from previewing the likes of Killzone 2 and Infamous for the PlayStation 3, and Resistance: Retribution for the PSP. What does this mean for you, the loyal reader who can't make it to Vegas? It means you can expect new details and information, and hopefully, some kick-ass new video footage for all these massively anticipated games. We'll keep a close eye out for any new media, and in case Sony feels like dropping a mini-bomb or two, we'll be on top of that, too. For the most part, CES is just the start of things for the industry in any given year, but every once in a while, we get a few surprises. Besides, we're talking about some seriously huge titles that are going to be on display; Sucker Punch wants to deliver a singular action experience with Infamous and PSP owners everywhere are hoping that Resistance: Retribution turns out to be a handheld gem.
As for Killzone 2 , we don't need any additional footage or info to convince us it's going to rock. The hype has hit a saturation point and to be honest, even we're a little sick of it…but that won't stop us from telling you that KZ2 will be an automatic Game of the Year contender for 2009.
