Oh yes, we're still getting updates, but we have to believe we're in the stretch run by now…

First of all, we have learned that Sony just sent out a bunch of new invites to the closed beta test, so check your inboxes if you haven't gotten in already. Secondly and most importantly, PlayStation Home director Jack Buser has issued a promise that "everyone" will be able to enjoy Home before the year is out. We've heard this before, of course, but the more they say it, the more we're inclined to believe it. Said Buser-

"Like we've said, we're excited about moving PlayStation Home into its open beta stage this year. Once we make the move to open beta, everyone will have access to PlayStation Home.PlayStation Home is nearing the final stages of our closed beta. Last week we successfully moved to our 1.0 client, which places us on schedule for the launch of open beta this year." (Source- Eurogamer)

This falls in line with the rumor that one developer said we could expect Home between the 15th and 30th of this month, so that's encouraging. As for the other rumors regarding ever-changing weather patterns and currency, we haven't seen any official response to that just yet but then again…hey, it's Thanksgiving. We'll give 'em a break for a little while longer. But they had best come through on this promise, or they're gonna have a ton of extremely disappointed PS3 owners on their hands.

no one should really worry

for me i was pumped for home, now that i'm in it really is boring and a let down to me. For something that keeps getting pulled back to be fixed and so on i found glitches, poor rendering, poor graphics

it to me was just a let down, looking at the simple cartoon avatars ms has pulled off look quite good, haven't had a go myself, but it just seems sony wanted to do something big when all we really needed was something small

It does seem like alot of people (including myself) got a beta key recently. Damn well should of too, with the amount of time I spend on the system (dont got a pc so i use the net alot Cough 'porn' cough). A fair amount of people I talked to last night said they got theres yesterday(including myself).I do hope it launches soon, although the beta is fun (dont take away my invite sony), really theres not alot to do. Stores are open but they dont got anything.

Well ive been playing Home today… and the update is amazing. They replaced the PSP menu with the "Playstation Phone" as I like to call it. Pretty sweet may I add! Very nice update. I havent played home in a long while.

I received my beta invite yesterday but there's like almost nothing to do in Home. Hopefully, by the time they release it will have more stuff.

I finally got in yesterday. It's cool, fun the first time for a good while and then after it's a bit of a timekiller. I see the potential in it though when they actually allow us to do things and buy stuff.

Also, 3 or 4 days ago Ted himself said befores XMAS! Which is even better. He said on the EU forums, and i quote: "Everyone should be in home by christmas"

I'm Home! still haven't registered for the Beta, I'm extremely addicted to Dead Space. I'm going for the platinum trophy… I need some bling for the apartment. Can you do anything with trophies in Home yet?

Edit: I just saw the Rumor article from Thursdays news. Question answered.

Just received a Beta pass moments ago, downloading now (quite quickly actually). I'm in the UK, so looks like the open Beta is moving over here in Europe.

Don't you mean 15th-30th of December? I believe you said of this month, which would be November.

I like the look and feel of it, but I agree with the comment above, it's a time-killer. There isn't much to do, but I wont complain because it's free.

And also to the comment above, it might have glitches, but I thought graphically, it looked really good. It looks really clean and bright.

I myself got the beta last night and downloaded all that I could. spent like 5 hours in there wandering round. I liked the look of it too. Ok the shops are empty but they its just opened its gonna be there for the next 8 years (10 year lifespan of the PS3 remember lol) Who knows it may continue onwards into PS4.

Anyway what I did observe was groups of people standing around chatting which was nice. I played 10pin bowling with a chap from Saudi Arabia and a guy from Sweden.
Gonna have to get the keyboard if I wanna continue chatting to people in there though as the controller is ok if a bit slow.

Be better once it is open though and everyone is in it.

I am one of the fortunate few that is in the closed beta, and I urge everyone to ignore the vocal naysayers. Home's BIGGEST flaw is that it is closed. I have a whole one friend on my list that also has it, and since it is a system designed around socializing, there isn't alot to do with only one friend. Still, even with very limited access to the features, I had alot of fun customizing my avatar and apartment. And that was with a BARE BONES set of items to work with. Once this bad boy opens up, just seeing everyone's apartment is going to be a blast.

Even in beta, it's a fun way to waste a few minutes. Last night I was waiting on a phone call and didn't have enough time to start playing an actual game, so I sat on a bench in the Central Plaza and just watched what everyone was doing, eventually being approached by an individual who insisted he was Jesus. Let's see the New Xbox Experience do THAT.

Not only that, but I'm excited about all the different avatar accessories they're going to be coming up with. If they have dynamic weather, then how about some umbrellas? Or winter coats? The possibilities are endless with this service, and it is something definitely worth being excited about.

i completly agree with arvis first of all, the version we got the key for is by no means the full product with probbably a fraction of areas you can visit ,graphics are amazing and also what we see are the very basic of home by launch time it will probabbly be decorated with chrsitmas stuff the mall will be selling stuff and hopefully they add more chess tables, bowling ally is fun as hell and like i said mostly just basic of the final bowling ally, think of it like any other beta for any other games you will probabbly just have one level to play in and not as many accesories, PARDON MY SPELLING.
