Some things, you just have to question, even if you end up being proved wrong in the future.

According to several sources around the Internet, PSW magazine is reporting that some of the cut-scenes in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots clock in at almost "90 minutes each." Okay, now before everyone gets all worked up, we find it difficult to believe that multiple cut-scenes in MGS4 will be an hour and a half long. We remember hearing something similar about Xenosaga , when in fact, the average length was maybe 15 minutes with the longest being no more than 35 or 40 minutes (and that was only one). Bottom line is that everyone always overestimates how long a cut-scene goes on for, primarily because certain gamers may have the attention span of a gnat. We've already heard about the perfect 10 review from PSM, and we've also heard feedback from other trusted sources, and not a one mentioned anything about 90-minute cut-scenes. We think they would've.

So while it's probably not out of the realm of possibility, we're not buying this. If we had heard that maybe the ending was 90 minutes, we might accept that, but a bunch of cut-scenes weighing in at an hour and a half? No, not likely. But we'll see.

dont think so because people complained about watching the game in mgs 2 rather than play it most of the time and they said they were gonna fix it in mgs 3 … why would they go back to what caused them critisism again if they know people dont like it?

I would expect a lengthy ending to send snake off properly but not throughout the whole game. They were being silly with their words is my guess.

Well, Kojima said he barely fit the game on a bd disc?…

I still have yet to take interest in MGS4 though, since I've never been an MG fan.

The 360 kids are going nuts about this one, and the 4 GB installation.

I really doubt it, but if it does have 90 minute cut-scenes…that's gonna be bad. I love MGS cut-scenes as much as anyone, but even a 20 minute cut-scene would be kinda annoying.

Apparently Gamepro has debunked this one. The guy reviewing it for them has said that he's played through the game twice, and cannot recall any cut-scene that lasts even close to 90 minutes.

Thank GOD.

I can wait for this game…Hideo Kojima is one of the greatest creations by God. For those that are atheists…I am sorry but I maintain my position. He is truly remarkable. His storytelling is just extraordinary. I am pysched for this game, just preordered the limited edition.

I meant I can't wait…anyways, not to waste a comment here. I hope the graphics can be upscaled to 1080p. Now we all know that the PS3 doesn't force upscale a native resolution of a game to a TV's optimal resolution via a hardware scaler chip like the competition's ANA or HANA. So if ppl want 1080p, use your TV's upscaling capability (if available). I heard a lot of people feeling disappointed that the game isn't in 1080p, but hey, if this sacrifice in resolution allows for more things going on at once and lagless gameplay…I am all for it!
