We can always guess when it comes to release dates, and we sometimes have the benefit of estimates from the developer or publisher. Ever since 2008 began, we've been hoping to see concrete release dates for some of the biggest games of the year, and while we still don't have them, we do have those estimations. Well, provided the information from VideoGamer.com is accurate, anyway.
According to the latest SCE UK release schedule for the PlayStation 3, the three biggest titles of the year (arguably) now have estimated release dates. Both Killzone 2 and LittleBigPlanet are slated for September while Insomniac's hotly anticipated sequel, Resistance 2 , is set for November. Now, while the dates are for the UK, that's probably not an issue…if anything, the US will get these titles earlier, and it would make sense that all three would drop in time for the holiday rush. Furthermore, Insomniac has said in the past that a November release date for Resistance 2 was possible; the game was essentially guaranteed for this year.
Guerilla has been quiet on Killzone 2 lately, and Sony remains mute on the LittleBigPlanet subject, so we probably won't see any exact release dates any time soon. But if these months are accurate for the "big 3" in 2008, we'll be happy with that.
