While Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is basically the same experience on the PS3 and Xbox 360, some online aficionados have noticed some issues with the PS3 version lately. However, Infinity Ward has heard the complaints and are currently working on a future fix.
According to PS3Fanboy, the team has already fixed a variety of problems with an update patch in the past, but another one should be on the way. Here's the reply from an Infinity team member on the subject-
"I'm going to have an update for you in the near future (probably tomorrow) regarding the server issues you may have experienced over the holiday break while attempting to play online in Call of Duty 4 PS3; this update should give you all the background information on the issue and some fixes that should be going into effect."
The update may actually already be available, so make sure to log on and give it a try. If it's not there yet, expect to see it any day. CoD4 was easily one of the best games of 2007, and it's great that the developers are on top of any and all problems when it comes to online play. After all, such a fantastic and intense FPS isn't anywhere near as worthwhile without a superb online multiplayer mode, right?
