THQ has announced that today, online registration has officially begun for the WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 International Tournament. If you're a fan of wrestling and love the latest installment in this long-running series, here's your chance to show the world that you're master of the ring. If you succeed in winning it all, your prize will be two floor tickets to WrestleMania 24, which takes place on March 30, 2008 in Orlando.

Here's a portion of the press release that clues you in on the pertinent details-

"Major League Gaming will produce, host and operate WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 qualifier tournaments beginning in January 2008 in three regions, including North America, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. The competition will continue throughout February 2008, with the four top players in each region moving on to participate in regional finals in early March. Two finalists from North America, along with a finalist from the United Kingdom and a finalist from Continental Europe, will then battle head-to-head at the grand finale, scheduled to take place during the 6th Annual THQ Superstar Challenge on March 27, 2008 at the House of Blues Orlando."

That last bit is the best: the two finalists will duke it out in front of a capacity crowd – remember those Madden tournament finals in Times Square? – and some true WWE SuperStars will be on hand to watch! If you emerge victorious at the House of Blues, you will receive your two tickets to Orlando and WrestleMania 24. Sweet! If you'd like to register please visit the GameStop site and sign up. As far as we know, anybody can register (we saw no specific limitations in the release), so get a move on! Now's the time to take your skills to a huge virtual stage.
