Well, it's that time of the month again, when the soft whispers of big rumors come sifting through the Internet courtesy of Quartermann's EGM rumor mill. And this month, we find the resurrection of the good ol' Bioshock rumor; the atmospheric and engaging FPS from 2K Games might actually arrive in 2008 for the PS3. 2K has continually shot this rumor down, but it's still alive and kickin'.
In PSP rumor news, Kojima Productions is going to be sending more Metal Gear Solid love in the handheld's direction, which isn't all that surprising. The highly anticipated sequel, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops+ , releases next week, but that won't be the last you hear from Snake and Co. on the PSP. It seems Kojima and Konami are teaming up once again to deliver another all-new MGS title, one which brings us back to the early days of Snake's military career. Both of these first two rumors are good news for Sony fans, especially if Bioshock shows up some time in early 2008.
But there's one last report of interest, and it says Sega has begun work on another "real" Sonic . …what they mean by "real," we have no idea. Will it be for handhelds? Home consoles? Could it be 2D, the way Sonic should've always remained? That next-gen Sonic installment was atrocious, so let's hope Sega knows what they're doing this time around.
