Well, it'll likely spark some debate amongst curious gamers in the US, but we can't be sure if this means anything for any territory besides Australia.

According to the Australian gaming site, GamePlayer, Red Ant (Midway's local distributor) has provided them with a release date for Unreal Tournament III …but only the PC version. That version will release on November 15 in the land down under, but both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions won't arrive until next year. The only other news from the article concerns the release of the Limited Collector's Edition, but obviously, nothing else on whether or not this release date announcement affects any gamers outside of Australia.

Midway had initially announced a delay for the PS3 version in the US a little while ago, but Epic was quick to clarify the situation: while they probably wouldn't hit their original goal of a November release, they would continue working hard to deliver UT3 PS3 some time this year (perhaps December). No word since on whether or not they'd manage that, but maybe this will prompt another response. We'll see what we can dig up and let you know.
