Guitar Hero III Dated For Europe

Okay, we know Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is going to be a gigantic holiday release, but Activision hadn't yet told European gamers when they could expect it. The game will ship to the U.S. on October 28 and Australia on November 7, but our friends across the pond haven't been officially invited to the party…until now.

According to Strategy Informer, Activision announced earlier today that Euro gamers would be getting Guitar Hero III on November 23, less than a month behind the U.S. launch. And remember, this applies to all versions of the game – PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PS2 – so it almost doesn't matter which platform(s) you own. Also, more good news for the European fans- you'll be able to pick up those brand new wireless Gibson Les Paul guitar controllers! You'll want 'em, too, because this game boasts a ton of awesome tracks from the likes of Guns 'N Roses, Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Iron Maiden, Killers, and many, many more.

“This is the biggest Guitar Hero release yet,” says Zach Fountain, General Manager, RedOctane Europe. “Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is the first time the franchise has released simultaneously across multiple formats, so we’re delighted to be able to confirm a single street date for all home consoles. The game introduces a host of innovations on each format – no matter what your console of choice, November 23rd will be the day your world gets well and truly rocked.”

Yeah, the game will face stiffer competition in Europe when it launches in late November, but that won't stop it from being popular. At this point, nothing short of a global catastrophe stop Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock from being super popular in every territory on earth.
