Obviously, a great marketing campaign is crucial to any product's success, and Sony has been known to have some of the most technologically advanced – and oftentimes, exceedingly bizarre – campaigns in recent memory. Well, it seems we'll be getting a look at the latest PlayStation 3 campaign, which officially begins assaulting the Internet very soon.

According to a post by Kim Nguyen, Marketing Manager for the PlayStation 3, the brand new PS3 brand campaign kicks off this week online. She offers a pretty intriguing description of this campaign, and it's something you have to read for yourself-

"The first of many banners will appear today and run through December. In a nutshell, the theme of this year’s campaign uses computer animation to model key PS3 iconography in a black onyx world. Phew, yeah, that’s a mouthful."

Yes, yes it is, Kim. If you want to take a look at it, go ahead and click here . …now that you've seen it, could you please tell us what the heck that PS3 just did? What was that? It seems the system morphed into a pseudo-liquid form and then came back into itself…or something. But hey, it looks cool, and Nguyen says this is only the first of "many banners to come." We'll be looking for those, and we do hope this new campaign turns more consumers in the direction of the PS3, 'cuz they're comin' with the games this holiday season!
