It was one of the biggest announcements at this year's E3: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots would indeed be staying exclusive to the PS3. Furthermore, we were all treated to one of the best trailers of the show as well, so MGS fans were perfectly content with the unveiling.
But there's more to come at this month's Leipzig Games Convention, because Konami-Europe has confirmed there will be a brand new MGS 4 trailer at the event! Best of all, it's very likely this new video will feature plenty of actual gameplay for all you stealth/action aficionados to feast your eyes on, and that's more reason to cheer. With this new trailer, it's also possible we could hear another announcement regarding the hotly anticipated game…after all, despite the PS3 exclusive confirmation, the debate still rages.
At this point, it's relatively well known that Konami probably wants MGS 4 to go multiplatform, but Kojima most certainly does not. The game is being exclusively designed for the PS3, and the franchise's creator is not interested in attempting a port. But does he really have the final say…? We'll see, and maybe this issue will be addressed once again at Leipzig.
