Need a job for the holiday season? Well, it's about the only time you can make any money in retail.
To prep for the crazy holiday rush, GameStop has announced that they will hire over 28,000 seasonal employees across the country. That's up 12 percent from last year's 25,000, by the way.
Company HR boss Lisa Keglovitz said hiring these temporary employees will allow the stores to be "appropriately staffed to meet our customers' needs this holiday." They're looking for in-store sales associates along with consumer electronics technicians at its refurbishment center in Texas. Hiring starts this week and will continue through the end of October.
If you're interested, visit GameStop's Career page and check out the job descriptions and qualifications. The jobs will end on January 8 as you might expect but until then, you can expect to work 10-25 hours per week.
Hey, I did it. But it probably wasn't half as annoying 15 years ago.
