If you plan to pick up The Taken King expansion for Destiny in September, and you're still playing on a last-gen console, be warned:
Bungie has released the size requirements for the huge expansion and it basically means your hard drive will take a big hit.
The Taken King needs at least 10GB of space on Xbox 360 and the PS3 version requires 20GB of free space during installation and at least 10GB for the required update after installation. The developers will release that "major" update for the game on September 8 and it's mandatory if you wish to keep playing the game (even if you don't get the new expansion).
This means that those of you with 20GB PS3s or Xbox 360s might have to upgrade your hard drives. Or perhaps, as Bungie advises, maybe it's finally time to "upgrade your console." Don't forget that data transfers are supported in the game so characters, gear and story progress can be brought over to a new console. Just remember it only transfers within the same family; i.e., PS3 to PS4 and Xbox 360 to Xbox One.
The Taken King is scheduled to launch on September 15 and if you do plan on upgrading, you might want to consider this very pretty Destiny PlayStation 4 bundle .
