Well, that's a first.
Activision Blizzard has been named to Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For list in 2015, the first time the video game publisher has ever landed the accolade.
The environment is one in which "fun, creativity and operation excellence are celebrated," and employees are plenty content. The overwhelming majority of employees cite the friendly atmosphere "where people can be themselves and the commitment to give extra to get the job done as highlights of the employee culture."
Said Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick:
"We have always considered Activision Blizzard to be one of the greatest places to work. To be recognized for it by others is gratifying and rewarding but being acknowledged as a great place to work by our own people means more to me than just about anything. They are the reason we are being recognized today."
Today's largest and most profitable western interactive entertainment publishing company currently employs over 7,000 people worldwide. These individuals have been responsible for games with titles like Call of Duty , Destiny , Diablo , Skylanders , StarCraft and World of Warcraft . Kotick added that in the early days, they were "selling the office furniture just to make payroll." Well, things have changed significantly.
The company continues to grow, as there are over 1,150 positions available across its global offices. To apply for one of them, simply visit the company's Careers website .
In a related note, EA was a Top 100 company the year before the EA Spouse blog broke.
