The game is already loads of fun, but we might as well have more fun.

2K Games has announced fresh downloadable content for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel . It's called The Holodome Onslaught and it'll be available on December 16 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It's part of the $30 DLC Pass and retails for $10 separately.

This expansion boasts new story content and appearances from a couple familiar Vault Hunters: Gaige and Axton. As the publisher explains:

"While they were gone on a mission, they missed out on the events of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and ask Athena to recount the story. Since they’re not the most patient badass Vault Hunters on Pandora, they just want an abbreviated version–only the juicy, violent stuff."

Players will work their way through The Holodome Onslaught, a new challenge arena that forces you to fight wave after wave of increasingly difficult foes. These opponents include "some of The Pre-Sequel's most memorable bad-asses, as well as several new enemies." You can earn new weapons, class mods, and skins, and this DLC also features the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack, which boosts the level cap to 60.

Yeah, it's only on older consoles but it's still Borderlands .
