PlayStation Network Down Again, Sony Working On It

Over the weekend, the PlayStation Network (and other major services) got hit with DDoS attacks .

Sony fixed things relatively quickly but now, it seems the PSN is down again. According to a Twitter update , Sony is aware of some connectivity issues and they're working on it:

"Network update: engineers are aware of connectivity issues, are working to resolve. We'll keep you posted – apologies for the inconvenience"

No idea how long it'll take but here's hoping they'll have it back before the day is out. No word on whether or not this is due to another attack or a separate problem but either way, PSN users will undoubtedly be miffed. Don't be surprised to see some sort of act of contrition on Sony's part…perhaps a free game or two.

They were planning on taking it down for maintenance before the attack so I'm not really surprised. I wouldn't worry about it too much and I find it a little sad at the thought of how angry people will get.

Some things are more important than the PSN being temporarily down. It's ok, there are other things to do.

Meanwhile, civilian planes are getting shot out of the sky, hostages are beheaded on T.V and innocents are being killed in Gaza while ceasefires are constantly ignored while bloodshed continues on a daily basis….

Oh & PSN will be down for maintenance as well….but stress less fellas because we have our top people working around the clock to fix this very serious issue so you can continue your online winning streak & win those very important clan-made death matches which mean absolutely nothing.

So are you upset that Sony isn't fixing the world's problems or that a gaming website is talking about an issue in the gaming world and not about the aforementioned world's problems?

Neither, but go on if you think you're onto something.

Obviously it's something Kevin5…

Now while I understand and agree with the point you are trying to make, it really has nothing to do with the topic that was posted.

Do you have a point?

Glad to see you still have time to post in a video game comments section, even as humans suffer around the world.

So why don't you go to a site where you can read about these problems or go there and try to do something about it yourself instead of crying on a video game website

I wonder, could this be CORPORATE WARFARE? Timing is everything. PS4 hits 10 million then this. If I remember correctly the 2011 incident happened when PS3 and the PSN were gaining momentum. Or I could be looking to deeply into this.

Let the conspiracy theories commence.

I say MS has hackers trying to hurt Sony's rep.
