Okay, so it's still a long ways off, but at least we've got a concrete date.

According to the Hollywood Reporter , the first "Uncharted" film will land in theaters on June 10, 2016.

The news came the same day that Sony Pictures announced they'd be delaying the next "Spider-Man" movie. That one won't arrive until 2018, so we'll be seeing Drake battle through exotic locales long before Spidey swings back into action. "Uncharted" director Seth Gordon recently said filming would begin "early next year" and now it appears that is a definite.

As for the film in question, Gordon said that he really loves the "complexity and frankly the sophistication of the storytelling in the game," so here's hoping the movie stays true to Naughty Dog's accomplishments.
