Drakengard 3 Launch Trailer Filled With Action And Blood

Yeah, lots of blood.

Square Enix has released the launch trailer for Drakengard 3 , which hits the PlayStation 3 in North America this week.

Developed as a collaborative project between former members of Nier team Cavia and Deadly Premonition developer Access Games, this anticipated sequel has a ton of promise. Japanese reviews were good (but not great), and the fans are expecting a very entertaining experience. In a sea of Western-style games, the heavy Japanese influence here might be just what you desire…

Me, I never got into Drakengard but it certainly looks interesting.

So far it's fun and has that Japanese flair but unfortunately it is an unfinished product. There's zero polish on this game, not even a little spit. The frame rate is atrocious as well.

I'm still having fun though. I'm just pissed they want $5 for the Japanese voices. Only Square Enix would do that, f*ckers. At least the main character actress is good though, very sultry voice.

Have you played Earth Defense for 2025? That game has a 20-25 fps like all the time, sometimes lower and I still loved the heck out of it.

That being said how bad is it? I don't think it will change anything, but I find it interesting NIER had a perfect frame rate, how did they mess this one up so bad lol.

Yeah I enjoyed that game too but I'm not kidding then I say it's abysmal when the screen is crowded. It's probably worse than the end scenes in Heavenly Sword when there are hundreds of enemies on the field.

Wolfeh, Even though I generally detest online transactions… I'm definitely considering it for this. I know that it isn't likely to be great, but it just seems so utterly… different. Different is good 🙂

I knew the graphics wouldn't be so great so not not really complaining about them, it's that the frame rate collapses when the screen gets crowded. It stutters so bad the controls can't keep up, it gets even worse on the dragon. Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying the game, but it's some of the worst choppyness I've seen this generation.

The whole game is filled with action and blood. 🙂
I have played the prolog and first chapter and it's great so far. Yes, there is some frame rate issues, but not that bad where you can't play the game.
