Well sure, why not?

According to a new Washington Post report , we might be seeing iconic video game characters on our stamps. By 2016, the US Postal Service may have taken the gamin' plunge.

A stamp celebrating "Video Games" has been approved but it's not yet in design. So, take your best bet as to what might be pictured on that stamp…I'm willing to bet it's some dude sporting blue overalls and a mustache saying, "it's-a me…!" Other stamps you might see involve Steve Jobs, Jimi Hendrix, Mushrooms, and Michael Jackson. Not sure I get the Mushroom one but the others make plenty of sense. As for the game stamp, I suppose it could also be Pac-Man or the L-block in Tetris .

Link? Samus? Snake? Cloud? Who else ya got?

It will obviously be Mario.

I don't think Mario is a sure thing.

I think its going to be Pac-Man. Mainly because of how simple yet iconic he is.

A stamp with the familiar yellow pie-shaped little guy will probably hit home with most people.

Donkey Kong
Mario
Pac-Man

Niko? John Marston? Vault Tech Boy?

even though i hate him now, #1 choice would be Mario.

I'd say it'd have to be Mario, he's head-and-shoulders above every other videogame icon. Could be a montage as well though, or even an arty pixelated sprite. Great to see it though, will be interesting to see what they come up with :). If a pic of a console, I'd vote for the Atari 2600.

It's going to be Mario, and I'm okay with that.
I would like to see Snake and maybe even some of our newer classics like Tlou, or even GTA.

GTA would sell out instantly. I would expect the mature nature of the content to create controversy controversy.

Coincidentally, 2016 will be the 40th anniversary of the Atari VCS (2600).
