The length of single-player-only titles are always a top priority for gamers.
Me, I'm of the mindset that there is no minimum length for any form of artistic expression. If the artist(s) in question have told the story, conveyed everything there is to convey, and whoever experiences it is entertained, then length is irrelevant.
But not everyone sees it that way. Which is why most consumers will be happy to know that the upcoming Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will be at least 20 hours long. This according to a new News10GamesGuys interview with Mercury Steam producer David Cox. Elsewhere in the interview, he also said the team won't be revisiting the iconic franchise:
"This is the end of the story, end of the line. We had our story to tell which was Dracula’s story and we feel that if you got a story to tell there’s nothing worse than to keep retelling it over and over again. I think this is the big conclusion to LOS2, I think fans will be satisfied with the ending."
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is scheduled to hit store shelves on February 25 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Cox previously confirmed that his team isn't currently planning to deliver a next-gen port . As for the length, I'm good with 20+ hours, aren't you?
