After the tragic death of actor Paul Walker in a car accident last year, movie fans wondered if Fox's new "Hitman" movie would be postponed.

Walker was scheduled to star as the lead in the upcoming film "Agent 47." Without him, they needed to find a new leading man, and fast.

As it turns out, according to Variety , they did find a replacement: It's "Homeland" star Rupert Friend, who looks a lot like Orlando Bloom, for some reason. He joins a team that includes director Aleksander Bach and scriptwriters Skip Woods ("A Good Day to Die Hard") and Michael Finch. For now, it appears that the movie is still on track, although that may or may not be a good thing.

The latest game installment, Hitman: Absolution , was pretty darn good. The movies thus far, however, have not been good. Here's hoping Friend and Co. can turn it around.

I like him as Peter Quinn, I can't see him pulling off the Bald assassin. Perhaps they figure bringing English actors to play our big heroes is working everyone else in the movie industry so it might work here.

Love his character Quinn on Homeland and I never understood what the appeal of Paul Walker was (though of course his was tragic and hard to read about.) Then again, I REALLY don't care about this movie even a bit, so unless it's much better than I expect it to be, this will be the kind of thing I watch years from now for 15 minutes on HBO on a Saturday afternoon and then move on to something I actually want to do.

Seriously, why do they keep choosing people that don't look anything like Agent 47? Thats like casting Vin Diesel for Samuel Fisher.

Ha, just imagined Vin Diesel with a wig.

Actually, if you remember the cover of double agent fisher looked kinda like vin diesel. I think there was even a rumour going around that Ubi based the look off of vin diesel.

I could be making all of that up though aha.

Amen. Whenever I say that people get on my case, but you need to start with someone who looks like the guy. Mark Wahlberg as Nathan Drake? Uhh no.

Disappointed that they couldn't get Timothy Oliphant. I actually really enjoyed Hitman the movie. I will give this new movie a chance.

Thank you, Crusader.

It's either Timothy Olyphant, or no one, in my book.

He nailed the portrayal last time, it's not his fault the script mostly sucked, making the movie not as good as it could have been.

Olga Kurylenko didn't hurt the movie one bit, either. ūüėČ
