The nominations for the 14th annual Game Developers Choice awards were just handed out, and you might recognize a few of the usual suspects.
The Last Of Us and Gone Home lead all titles with five nominations each; Grand Theft Auto V and Tearaway each received four nominations, and Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider got two apiece.
Naughty Dog's masterpiece was nominated for Best Technology, Best Narrative, Best Visual Art, Best Design, and overall Game of the Year. Coincidentally, in our GotY Awards , The Last Of Us won Best Graphics, Best Acting, Best Artistry/Art Direction, Best PS3 Game, Best New IP and yes, Game of the Year. For the record, GTAV took home Best Action/Adventure Game and Best Multiplayer Game, Bioshock Infinite won Best Writing/Story and Best Shooter, and Tearaway won Best Vita Game. Tomb Raider didn't win anything, unfortunately.
For this year's GDC Awards, the Game of the Year nominees also included Gone Home , Grand Theft Auto V , Super Mario 3D World and Tomb Raider . If you're wondering what won last year's GotY at the GDC Awards, it was the revered Journey . Check out the full list of nominations if you like.
