If you picked up Call of Duty: Ghosts this week, you're primed and ready for the first double XP weekend, right?
Well, it's live right now and it will continue to run through 10:00/18:00 GMT on November 11. Double XP will be active on all platforms, so it doesn't matter which version of Ghosts you purchased. Well, it obviously doesn't work if you nabbed a next-gen version.
Activision announced earlier that the new CoD entry had passed the $1 billion mark, but it's important to note that the number only counts sell-in units; i.e., those sold to retailers, not to consumers. The publisher has yet to release an exact sales count, but analysts and other industry insiders aren't expecting record-smashing numbers. And after lower than usual review scores, many are calling for the franchise to try something new and reinvent itself. Well, it did it with Modern Warfare , so it's hardly impossible.
Do you have any suggestions for Infinity Ward and Treyarch as to how to proceed with Call of Duty in the next generation?
