Sony Rewards Updated With PlayStation-Specific Items

If you intend to do plenty of shopping on the PlayStation Store, this should appeal to you.

Sony has revealed that it will be introducing PlayStation-specific items into its Sony Rewards program. Currently, this incentive program is only available to US consumers.

After signing up, customers will earn 1 point for every $1 spent in the PlayStation Store, Sony Entertainment Network Store, or Sony Store. You will receive an additional 100 points if you sign up before November 12, 250 points for purchasing a 12-month PlayStation Plus subscription in November, up to 270 points for grabbing a PS3 bundle, and up to 400 points for uploading movie ticket stubs onto the Sony Rewards website. When you've accumulated 1,000 points, you will receive $10 in Store credit.

That may not sound like much but it can definitely add up fast, especially if you're planning on being a big-time digital consumer in the coming years.

And stop trying to do digital propaganda PSXExtreme. This is not just for purchasing crap digital, it's for both physical and crap digital.

Don't live in the states but that's retarded haha.

I spent $150 on PSN this year (peaked), $0 last year and I'm what people here call an obsessed/addicted gamer.

Sounds like every other reward program ever… 1% is sort of the going rate. Nothing special. They're just trying to keep up.

Spend $1000 get $10 back, woohoo! Let's see $50 a year for plus times 20 years and I'll make my $10.

I rarely buy anything on the store and when I do it's super cheap so I might be able to scale that back to maybe 15 years.
