If you missed out, this is your chance to nab a truly great action game.

As revealed over at the PlayStation Blog , the acclaimed God of War: Ascension hits the PSN this week. They're also giving away a free track by composer Tyler Bates. Fantastic music!

It was also announced that the developers are done making downloadable content. They've already delivered a brutal 1 vs. 1 mode, a fan-driven cape contest, new marks, weapons and maps, and much more. But the team is ready to bring us the last of the upgrades: There's a new balance update, dedicated online support, and all DLC items will receive "special pricing options upon digital version release in their region." The Ascension soundtrack will be available for free for a limited time, and don't forget about the Double XP Weekend between October 18 and 21! Take advantage of that.
