That's so very cool and yet, at the same time…mildly creepy.
As artificial intelligence becomes more diverse and capable, developers continue to produce more realistic virtual experiences. And when it comes to actually learning how to play guitar, Rocksmith 2014 harnesses some pretty impressive next-level AI.
The new Session Mode has been revealed, and it features adaptive AI that first lets you customize a band that will play along with you. Then, when you start playing, that band will conform to how you're playing and even assist you in the learning process. Watch the video below; it explains how the mode works, and how aspiring musicians can get help from other musicians who…uh…don't exist. Yeah, this definitely isn't Guitar Hero , as those who played the first Rocksmith already understand. Ready for a real challenge?
Rocksmith 2014 Edition is slated to release on October 22. To learn more, visit the game's official website .

I'm sold.
The original Rocksmith got far too bothersome with its slow annoying interface. I'm ready to give this new game a try.
