If you're into comics, you'll appreciate this news.

Dark Horse Comics has announced a partnership with famed developers Keiji Inafune and Team Ninja, which will result in an all-new digital comic that will introduce gamers to the wild, wacky world of Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z .

The comic is supposed to reveal "essential pieces" of the game, which is dubbed a "stylized living comic book." There will be three vignettes penned by writers Tim Seeley and Josh Eamons, along with art work from Rafael Ortiz. These three comics will be available for free download at the Dark Horse Digital Store , and a new full-color print comic will also release when the game launches early next year.

If you've forgotten, Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is a spin-off of the legendary Ninja Gaiden series and has Yaiba, a cyborg ninja, out for revenge. He was once cleaved in two but via cyber-technology, he's back and brandishing his ninja sword and a bunch of mecha weapons thanks to his new cyborg arm. Yeah, it sounds completely over-the-top insane but clearly, that's part of the fun. Blood and zombies; what more could you possibly want?

cool for comic books. i'd like to draw comics professionally someday =)
but I cant say I'm excited for zombie and ninja gaiden cross overs. zombies, werewolves, witches and vampires just really aren't my thing.
except for when they're in Castlevania. then it's okay.

I love cyber technology. First Rex Power Colt and now Yaiba.

such a shame when such a complex combat system and fun game has to be destroyed by its stupid graphical choice.
a super gory violent dark game like ninja gaiden, yet its so colorful and stylized to be a f*cking cartoon!
next were going to see the simpsons animation but in the next hostel movie!
please, for the love of god, can we please stop this obsession with cell shaded graphics in ultra gory dark gritty games!?
borderlands works because its cartoony graphics match its funny humorous cartoony style, ninja gaiden, NINJAS, are a FARCRY from humours and cartoony!
first the darkness two, now this.
whats next?
saw?
the evil within?
manhunt 3?
GOWIV?

This game looks amazing, but based on the build showcased at the EB Expo (admittedly pre-alpha) it's going to play like ****. Seriously, movement was loose as, the dodge distance was ridiculous, taking you halfway across the screen in what seemed like two frames and the camera was utterly appalling, and that's without mention just how unsatisfying it was to slash through hordes of zombies. No feedback or response at all. Just not a fun game.

Might be better as a comic, but.
