The upcoming narrative-driven downloadable content for Bioshock Infinite , Burial at Sea, is high on our priority list.
How often do you get story-driven DLC from such an elite developer? We can't wait to play it, as it lets us assume the role of Elizabeth and in turn allows us to explore a new gameplay style. And now we know how long the first episode will be.
During a recent Reddit AMA with Irrational Games boss and Bioshock creator Ken Levine, we learn that Burial at Sea: Episode One will take us about 2-3 hours to complete:
"The average play thru for part 1 is 2:15-3 hours. We've seen more for people who dig (one guy went five!) and we've seen less for people who aren't interested in the story."
Lead level designer Andres Gonzalez added that the DLC will be "more open" than the main game, and there will be "a lot of optional content to explore and see." Therefore, if you love that unparalleled and engaging atmosphere, you'll probably want to get at least three or four hours out of Episode One. As for Episode Two, Levine said the team is currently working like mad to get it completed, but we don't have an estimated release date just yet. Episode One should be ready to go before the holidays are over.
If there's one piece of DLC I might actually get when it comes out, it's this one. Anybody else feel the same way?
