A New Game Set In The Sleeping Dogs Universe: Triad Wars

Sleeping Dogs was one of the most entertaining games of 2012. And we all want a sequel of some sort, right?

Well, maybe it won't be a sequel, but it'll still be set in the Sleeping Dogs universe. Developer United Front Games has announced a new project called "Triad Wars." The news comes shortly after Square Enix filed a trademark application for that title on September 30.

Here's part of the announcement:

"It's something we've wanted to do for ages, and we're very happy to be working with Square Enix again… but that's all we can give you for the time being–we'll have more information about what the game’s going to be in 2014."

So, what do you want to see in the new game? If you enjoyed Sleeping Dogs , as so many did, what about it really appealed to you? And what would you want to see United Front Games improve upon with Triad Wars ? I'm just happy we're getting another game set in that environment, which was great; it reminded me of a more dynamic Yakuza setting, in fact. Here's hoping Triad Wars will be announced for next-gen consoles soon!

Still have SD waiting in my IGC for whenever I crave some asian martial arts sandbox. For some reason I'm get an an MMO feel from this like GTA Online for a cooler world.

Sleeping Dogs was sick, but the fact that they're only saying that it's in the same universe worries me a little, and the title evokes ideas of some sort of mobile/facebook game. I hope that it's a full blooded sequel, but I'm wary for now.

they really need to pick a side and stick with it.
the cop missions were just so boring not fun at all, in fact everyone ive talked to no one has finished the cop missions and everyone finished all the triad missions.
they need to pick one side, and build the game up from that.
they need allot more variety in the combat system and environments as well.
the environmental kills were the whole point of the game, but after 10 minutes of gameplay thats it youve seen every kill enjoy seeing the same thing over and over and over and over and over again for the rest of the game.
same thing with the combat system, and even the level design, everything was just a,b,c, rinse and repeat.
create 3 levels than cut and paste them.

Really loved the first sleeping dogs… but it was missing some replay value, didn't have the same replay value as all GTA's have… nevertheless still a great game and which I thoroughly enjoyed, looking forward to the sequel
