Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus Hits PS3 On November 12

Let's face it: Insomniac's experiments with the Ratchet & Clank franchise have not exceeded the core games in terms of quality.

Really, if it ain't broke… So, those of you who enjoyed the trio of "Future" titles in the series ( Tools of Destruction , Quest for Booty , A Crack in Time ), will very likely enjoy Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus . It will release exclusively on the PlayStation 3 on November 12, and it will cost $30.

Boasting a new story and fresh weapons and gadgets, Into the Nexus is the epilogue you've all been waiting for. Insomniac Games community boss James Stevenson admitted that the game is shorter than past titles, but there's a reason for that:

"Some of you have asked us why we made a shorter Ratchet game. The truth is, we relished this ability to tie a bow on the PS3 era of Ratchet with a shorter title. All of us love the Ratchet universe–and after 12 years developing the series, it feels like a very close friend. We have a lot of stories to tell, some longer, some shorter. This one felt just right."

If you opt to pre-order the anticipated game, you will nab Pyronox Armor for Ratchet, which grants you 5% damage reduction. Plus, those who pre-order at Amazon will receive a "huge package" of extra content for PlayStation Home. R&C forever!

I just wonder how long it is. The Quest for Booty was real short but at about half the price. So for $30 I'd hope this weighs in at over 8 hours.

Q-Force was i think from how much time it took my little brother to finish i think into the nexus sud be worth the money. i however shall try to pre-order it cos u get was sounds like a bad ass amour set which is always cool.

i think me and one other guy around here are really pumped for this rachet game it looks like another great rachet adventure, i really hope it gets gud exposure as we need more games like this i mean LBP and puppetter and sly are gud but we still need a few more.

for me this ill be the perfect way to finish the ps3 gen out with a bang.

atleast for now unless something else amazing comes out for ps3 when the ps4 is out

happy gaming =)

Full circle.

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction was the first game I purchased for my PS3; looks like it'll be the last game I buy too.

oh insomniac you sure know how to have a love or hate relationship with your fans now dont you.
first they make it look like ACIT was going to be the last R&C game, BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
then you find out its not, YAY!!!!!!!
then they turn it into a crappy co-op kindergartner game, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
then they turn it back to its roots, YAY!!!!!!!!!!
but it has forced unnessessary crap RTS elements, and was extendedly delayed on vita, BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
then they announce R&C is comming back to its roots, YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but its going to be a downloadable game, BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
but then they show off some gameplay and it looks classic R&C, YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but its going to be extremely short, BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
anyone thrown up from all the ups and downs yet?

SO, SO, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO want this to be a worthy successor to ACIT, THE best ps3 game EVER released!
but im sorry i cant help but look at this and just be reminded by QFB.
which was not such a bad game, but a typical downloadable game ie felt so held back and restricted by the restrictions of a DL game.
just feels that if this was a full priced retail game it would be so much bigger, better, and more bada$$!
the true game the series deserves, especially after the sh*t its been dragged through.
plus even more disappointingly if this sells poorly, well, that just destroys what little hope of a ps4 itteration now doesent it.

Granted the coop and RTS games were not necessarily "Future" titles, where this one is supposed to follow that canon…even though, oddly enough, they don't include "Future" in the title.

I too wish it was a full game, but will take what they give us. With Insomniac recently going multiplatform with their last game and signing up with MS for their next IP, I really hope this isn't the last Sony exclusive, or R&C title from Insomniac Games!!
