It's just another challenging track that will test your driving skills to the max.
Sony has announced that the upcoming racing simulator, Gran Turismo 6 , will include the Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit, Bathurst. Franchise creator Kazunori Yamauchi calls it "one of the toughest tracks out there," likely because he's driven it himself.
The Australian track is created in-game to mirror its real-life counterpart, and it will about four miles long. It currently plays host to the Bathurst 12 Hour and the Bathurst 1000 races; not sure if these will be available in the game but if they are, prepare for a massive endurance test. GT6 is all about testing your ability on many different tracks, all the while driving very different vehicles. If you can handle Bathurst and come out victorious, you've done your job.
Gran Turismo 6 launches exclusively on the PlayStation 3 on December 6.

What an outstanding addition to Gran Turismo's stable of tracks. I have never "virtually" driven on this race venue before, but I have read some excellent things about it.
Truth be told though, I am more excited about the 7 post system being implemented into GT6. That is going to be amazing!
Kaz said he was focused to include day/night cycles on tracks with a real life endurance counterpart so I have a good feeling the game will include both the 12hr and 1000 endurance races.
I don't know much about the track, but it has crazy elevation changes and that alone would make it challenging.
GT5 had the same thing, didn't it?
As far as I recall, it had 12 hour, 24 hour and 500 (might be 1000) laps.
Bathurst was in the old TOCA Race Driver games, and us _excellent_. I'm an Aussie, so I'm biased, but it's comfortably my favourite racing track anywhere. I'm getting a PS4 at launch, and this might just be the reason I also get GT6 rather than waiting for the next-gen GT. Highly recommend the track – when you're heading down the twists and turns of the mountain, it's exhilarating :).
Man… every time i see a new video of GT6 it's looking better and better.
Something feels "off" about this Gran Turismo.
It may be me, but the cars seem to look more…arcadey, if that makes sense. Cars remind me more of Forza than they do of Gran Turismo.
GT and Forza both aim to look as real as possible.
But the art style just seems off.
thats sure to be one heck of a track and one heck of a challenge it'll be a great adition to the track list if GT6
happy gaming =)
Love the Bathurst track…..it was my favorite course in TOCA Race Driver.
Tough track, but I say Bring It!
