Obviously, the prospect of pulling off dozens of virtual heists is appealing to a great many people.

According to developer Starbreeze (as cited by PlayStation LifeStyle ), the recently released Payday 2 has sold. 1.58 million copies worldwide in just its first month of availability. 80% of those copies were sold digitally, and the title has topped the monthly PSN charts in Europe (it was in the #2 slot in North America).

This is after we learned that the game had actually turned a profit before it even went up for sale. Starbreeze CEO Bo Andresson-Klint confirmed back in August that the pre-orders alone allowed the developer to turn a profit, so the rest is just gravy. As for the future, we know a bunch of downloadable content is headed our way soon, including five total DLC packs. The first one will be called Armored Transport, but we don't have any specific details at this time.

Have you had your payday yet?

You almost bought a multiplayer game designed to be played with others and backed out because the SP (which isn't the game's selling point) wasn't up to your standards?

okay…

It's called training mode basically. You don't join other players games without knowing the layout of maps, objectives and so on. You'll just be dragging the team down. There's no time for on the job training in the middle of a heist.

see, who said you need to be a well known franchise to sell well?
and thats with no campaign, imagine how well this would of sold if it actually gave people the bank robbing fix they wanted!
such a shame, i mean there has been so many amazing historical heists happening over the years, hell most of the worlds most well known notorious men were bank robbers.
so why not take advantage of that and give us a fun game, and actually something with a decent interesting story?
who said games cant be educational?
