Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is one of the funnest games of the year. It's the epitome of the non-word, "funnest."
And in a new Game Informer interview with Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, we find out that Blood Dragon has done well from a financial standpoint.
Guillemot confirmed that the digital spin-off was essentially a "mini-AAA game" and it has sold over 1 million units thus far. He added that publishing games like this – and the generally well-received Call of Juarez: Gunslinger – will definitely be part of the company's plan in the future. Furthermore, due to Blood Dragon 's success, there's a chance that we'll soon see a physical copy of the game. Specifically, he said, "maybe we'll go to retail at one point."
And if it does become available in physical format, we'll heartily recommend it. Again. You don't wanna miss the absurdity.
