Grand Theft Auto V is less than two weeks away now, and the information continues to flow.

A new set of details has arrived, thanks to a GTAForums user citing a PCGames preview of the anticipated game. A few of the gleaned tidbits gives us a hint of the massive scope and detail that will be on display.

You can read the full list through the link, but here are a few of the juicier highlights:

— Game looks as it does in the trailers only with more aliasing, and no stuttering during a 3-hour sample.

— Every officer and police car has its own search circle. In past entries, there was just one big search circle.

— Checkpoints are set very well

— More realistic handling again, as the "SUV handles way harder than a sports car."

— In one mission they were able to drive a train.

— They flew under a bridge and a “1 out of 50″ bridges prompt appeared.

— Health regens 50% only, you have to look for Health packs or eat something to get back to full health.

— Cut-scenes are fluid; no loading, as the camera simply switches from gameplay to cinematic.

Just when you think the game can't possibly sound any better, it does. I'm not sure I like the idea of individual search circles for each authority vehicle, but maybe it'll work out just fine. And I don't mind the fact that health doesn't fully regenerate; we get that in too many games these days, and there should be some challenge when taking on a gaggle of gun-toting gangbangers. Hiding alone can't heal you entirely!

According to IGN the police have a cone of vision, not a circle, meaning that you can take cover under a bridge outside of their cone to lose them.

I did the exact same thing to get that trophy in 4 for getting that 6 star wanted trophy.

The health thing is great. Never understood the old way. They have little meals and stuff but going to a save point fixed you. So…. you know, nevermind the food stuff. Didnt make sense to go through the trouble from a development standpoint only to make it not necessary.

I remember in Vice City on foot you could chase and stop a thief (street fight) sided with a officer to get some cash for being a good citizen.

I don't like the healing thing at all. I find that games with regenerative health make it a little easier. It MAY work for SOME FPSs, but I don't really like it for GTA. One of the things I liked of previous GTA titles was trying to survive the onslaught of oncoming police and FBI cars, choppers, tanks etc., and trying to survive with what health I had. Now this might just take that magic away. Everything else looks sweet though.

I like the alteration to the police mechanic. Should make it more difficult, but also a little easier in a sense, as you can get out of one circle and dodge the rest, rather than having to get out of a huge circle swarming with cops. Not so sure on the handling mechanics… If it's like Midnight Club, I'll be over the moon, but GTA IV's was kinda hard to get used to. And wait… does that mean health automatically regenerates? That's crap, even if it is only halfway. I sincerely hope that isn't the case.

It was so lame in IV how the circles just kept expanding because they posted a cop on every street just outside the original circle.

the Health thing is cool, and so is the vision cone thing. Soundtrack sounds awesome too.

I hope you guys don't mind me playing the hermit after I get this game. It will consume the little free time I have.
