Rainbow Six: Patriots Still In Development

It has been a while since we've seen a Rainbow Six entry. In fact, it has been a few years since hearing about the latest iteration, Rainbow Six: Patriots .

But don't worry. Ubisoft executive director Alain Corre told IGN that Patriots is "still cooking" and they won't release it until they "feel it's perfect."

However, we're not sure if the game will retain its title, nor are we certain of the targeted platforms. It was initially set for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC but at this point, we have to assume it's being prepped for the next-gen consoles. But above all else, Corre wants gamers to be very impressed with the game:

"What we want is to have a compelling story. We want people who play the next Rainbow 6 to be astonished, to be very pleased with what they see. You've seen that the improvement in games over the last few years has been exponential. We have to reflect that improvement in quality. That's what we're doing on all our games."

Ubisoft plans to show it again when it has enough creativity and innovation to make the project something special. Corre added that "creation is not an exact science" so he can't put a date on the fresh unveiling. Basically, when they're happy with that they've got, we'll see it again.

And we can live with that.

so it f*cking better, rainbow six vegas is still one of this generations best games so we DESPERATELY NEED another rainbow six game!
especially after seeing the really surprising terrorist hostages theme the reveal trailer had, it really looked quite unique and intriguing.

I still play Rainbow Six vegas 2. I really miss this kind of shooter, where you die in a couple bullets and tactics are key. Hopefully they keep it slow paced and tactical like its predecessors. I don't want this to be like the Ghost Recon Future soldier game, which added all the pew pew explosions that weren't needed, and downplayed the stealth aspects.

I had high hopes for Ghost Recon Future Soldier. But they kinda lost me when Guerrilla mode did not have matchmaking like multiplayer did. Sucks cause none of my friends have the game. So I can't play with anyone else, unless they are on my friends list and have it. Seems like the half a$$ed the mode, when they hyped it so much. Making that mode useless really.

Xenris what's you're PSN ID? Love to play with you. Mines KingRed like on here.

They can take all the time they need to make sure this one stands out. RSV and RSV2 are phenomenal, so a successor needs to be top-notch.

I love and still play Rainbow Six Vegas 2. I hope they keep Terrorist Hunt. That one mode is a blast and makes replay ability so much higher in the game.

Just hope they make the AI smarter in the more difficult level settings.
