Ready to tear up the virtual battlefield in this year's Call of Duty: Ghosts ?

Or do you need a kick-ass headset to make you feel better prepared? Turtle Beach has unveiled their Limited Edition Ghosts -themed headset, which features a black-and-white design and the Ghosts mask logo.

They've got three separate models available: First, there's the Shadow, which is a wired stereo headset with an in-line amp for $99.95; second, there's the Spectre, which is a Ghosts -branded version of the Turtle Beach SEVEN series headset with in-line amp for $199.95; third and lastly, there's the Phantom, which is a wireless Dolby surround sound headset with a programmable audio processor. The latter bad boy will cost you $299.95.

I've never been into multiplayer so headsets don't really have a place in my entertainment setup. But I get how important they are to multiplayer fans, and a top-quality set is absolutely essential.

Ive played a lot of multiplayer and not once have i wanted to shell out 300$ on a headset. Maybe its because i havent played CoD enough or something.

You wont regret it. I'd go with turtle beach PX5 or the newer model PX51. Best there is out there and it's wireless. Trust me, you will hear things you didn't know were there.

Yes $300.00 for a headset is way over the top for gaming, I just went out a got the PS3 wire less head set for under $100.00 it works great and I can use it with my computer also when not playing PS3 and don't need any logos on for a games I don't play or wont play!, If some one in the house sleeping the headset is a must for night time gaming of the all games not just multiplayer .

Did anyone else find their MP reveal footage to be blah? TreyArch makes better Call of Duty games than infinity ward.

I wouldn't even bother to watch such a thing.

If you're ever interested just replay any footage you may have in your head of MW3 and there you go.

Maybe that's exaggerated, but the footage looked okay… It looked the same as always. No buy. I am done.

Definately the campaigns were better but MW1 still takes the crown overall. [email protected] is my 2nd favorite but multiplayer is f***** up w/ hackers and modders.

I did like MW1 a lot. MW2 & 3….not so much. Even Black Ops 2 is better than MW2&3. I swore off CoD but I wanted a shooter for the Wii U and since Blops2 was a launch title I picked it up. Being on the Wii U made the game feel a bit more fresh. And the Wii U version is the best looking one.

still waiting for a good quality headset.
tried the astro A50s which sounded pretty poor for their price.
than tried the creative 3D omegas which sounded a bit better, and there 100 bucks cheaper, but the ear cups are so small there really uncomfortable.
also tried the triton pros and the triton halo 4 edition and they were pretty average too.
even tried the sennheiser PC363D which are probably the best, but no where near worth 400 bucks!
its amazing and so disappointing how crap gaming headphones are these days!
grab a pair of audio technica AD700s they will give you THE best sound quality, and surprisingly better surround sound effects even though there not designed with 5.1 or 7.1 gimmicks.
im really excited for the gaming audio technicas releasing next month, hopefully they will finally give us a half decent set of headphones!
but, seriously, what does a guy have to do to get beyerdynamic T1 quality sound in his gaming headphones?

I found that when it comes to sound output, its better to use hardware used by musicians. There's a whole different scene of such hardware. The headphone I use gives great sound quality and not gimmicky effects or anything. Just pure fantastic sound. But its not a usual consumer product. Actually it is a monitoring headphone and the best I ever had.
