The Suikoden Revival Movement will not go away, and of that we are glad.

As Beefjack reports, their newest campaign is called Operation Blinking Mirror and it is set to kick off this winter in order to allow the fandom to prepare for an awesome onslaught on Konami Japan in favor of more Suikoden .

What is Operation Blinking Mirror about? How can I participate? You may ask. From Co-founder Chris Holmes:

“From December 10 to December 12, we’re going to have a massive mailing campaign to KCEJ, Konami Japan’s headquarters. Now, you can just send a letter if you want, but Suikoden Day showed the massive creative potential within all of [the Suikoden fandom]. So, we encourage you to send anything.

“From CDs with your own arrangements, to artwork, even cosplay pictures – just anything creative you can think of – send it out to Konami Japan on these days.”

If you think that it's just a few fans tinkering around think again, this movement has some heft with over 13,700 followers on Facebook and plenty of industry recognition. Holmes describes the group thusly:

“From what started off as a band of a couple of hundred followers, has now – in true Suikoden fashion – turned into an almost full-scale army.”

If you want to be a part of the campaign to resurrect the only JRPG this writer thinks could compete with the old Final Fantasy games check out Operation Blinking Mirror's own Facebook page.

Simply amazing! Suikoden was one of the first jrpgs of the Playstation franchise (debuted on Playstation if i'm not mistaken) . If konami produced a new gen suikoden, I'd literally shut out all other games till I completed it.

I'd probably hold a rally, even if it was just me.

A new Suikoden would be a D1P for me if they keep it true. Cooking Contests and Military Battles!! I'll make a big stretch and say GTAV stole the 3 main character idea from Suikoden 3. Ha ha.

2 is my favorite, 3 grew on me. Haven't played 4 or 5. I still have the disc for 1 though so I'm a winner in life

II is undoubtedly my favorite, with V being a close second and the first one a close third. Though I wasn't crazy about Tactics, I love every title in the series.

Proud to be a part of this movement. It needs all of the publicity it can get.

At this point, the greatest victory – for me – would simply be Suikoden II on the PSN. After that, however, I'd rejoice to see ALL of the titles on PSN (with perhaps one or two… or three…. being given HD treatments).

Yeah, where the hell is Suikoden 2 at for PSN? No way that one should be missing. But then again there are quite a few PS one games missing. I should be playing Vandal Hearts 1 and 2 on my PS vita right now.

Man, the PS1 really was god of the rpgs in it's day.

End of line.
