For the hardcore gamer who loves a challenge, it's definitely one of the most anticipated games on the horizon.

And even though we don't have an official release window for Dark Souls II , a huge new sign has given us a clue. As spotted by All Games Beta , this sign on top of the LA Convention Center (the site of E3) gives the anticipated sequel a March 2014 launch estimate.

Namco Bandai won't comment on the situation just yet, likely because they'll be revealing that March 2014 date for Dark Souls II at E3. If you've forgotten, Dark Souls was the spiritual successor to the immensely well-received Demon's Souls , which was an exclusive title for the PS3. Dark Souls and the sequel are multiplatform projects, although there's no evidence that DSII is a cross-generation game. Is there a chance it'll arrive for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One…?

Well, we don't have long to wait. E3 2013 kicks off next week.

Guess I'm not hardcore anymore, I just play games for good times, not to find out what it was like to labor under Stalin.

WTF would you put up a poster revealing the release date before its even revealed?
and at all the places to do it too!
seems a bit early though, it was just announced at the VGAs at the end of last year so it seems a bit early to be talking about a release date, and seems too soon to be releasing it.
especially if it wants to have the online features dark souls had, and dont get me started with all the networking problems that had on launch week!
this is the last type of game you want to rush to release!

Demon's Souls you still haunt my dreams… One of my best gaming experiences this generation. Dark Souls was great but didn't grab me so much. Dark Souls II will still be an experience (though I might be too chicken to try).
