The Bureau: XCOM Declassified Trailer Is Very, Very…Vague

So the long-awaited XCOM reboot has been reworked and re-branded as The Bureau: XCOM Declassified .

It seems like an interesting premise, especially in regards to the setting and story. Now, publisher 2K Games has released another trailer to whet our alien appetite.

It was dubbed a "gameplay trailer" in the press release this morning but in truth, it's more of a teaser. There's a whole lot of government cover-up going on, and that includes blacked-out lines of text and even black bars over faces and eyes. Obviously, the focal point of the game centers on the US government locating an otherworldly presence in a fictional alternate reality. Then, of course, all hell breaks loose and that's where we'll start playing.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is scheduled to release for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on August 20.

This trailer does not help me either… I need to see something that makes me want to get the game. It just doesn't scream, "I have to have this" like so many of the games I've known before it. Hopefully I'll see more as time progresses.

alien, bang bang, eh been there done that.
2K seriously needs to learn how to market their games properly though!
have they published one game that actually had a normal marketing lead up to release?
makes you wonder how well their games would sell if people were not so information starved on them!
