Developer NetherRealm Studios has four DLC characters planned for the game, and the second has just been revealed: It's Batgirl! Check out the pic; is she how you imagined her?
The new fighter has been confirmed via NetherRealm's Twitter page , and it seems clear that we'll be able to experiment with the new whip-toting vixen next week; presumably Tuesday for PSN users:
"Batgirl is a playable DLC character in Injustice. Catch her gameplay next week!"
If you didn't already know, Lobo is the first DLC character, which you can download tomorrow if you're so inclined. There's a $15 Season Pass that will net you all four of the extra fighters, and we know all you hardcore fans are gonna want every last character. It's time to master all sorts of awesome new superheroes!

I'd don't mind Batgirl, but there are so many better choices available rather than another Bat family character. Give me Red Tornado, Zatanna, Firestorm, black Canary or Black Manta first.
Unfortunately, this lends credence to the leak that the four in the season pass will be Lobo, Batgirl, Zod and Scorpion. I can live with the first two, but the second pair is unwelcome to say the least.
Al least the leaked DLC costumes are cool so far.

I agree, this is ok, but would have liked to see someone else. Powergirl, Red Hood or Clayface would have been great. I am still on the fence with this game. I really enjoyed the demo. With Metro Last Light and Fuse coming this month I am finding it hard to make any decisions. Oh well, back to Soul Sacrifice and Defiance for now.
Edit – Hate, hate the Scorpion idea!! What a waste of dev time. Could have had one of the above characters.

I played the demo and enjoyed it but after what happened with Mortal Kombat, I'm just going to wait for the "Complete Edition" of this game which will be half the price and include a the DLC. I've got a big enough backlog to keep me busy till then and more AAA titles coming that I'm excited about too. But I will pick it up eventually I'm sure.
