Well, that's too bad. "More insane" sounds like oodles of fun, doesn't it?

We really liked 2011's Bulletstorm and we figured a sequel could be even better. In fact, in talking to Eurogamer , People Can Fly founder Adrian Chmielarz said it was going to be an "amazing game."

" It was gonna be actually more insane in a way. It's still kinda believable but the pulpiness and the craziness of it was through the roof. "

Chmielarz compared the now-defunct sequel to Rick Remender's comic books, specifically the "Fear Agent" series. Unfortunately, not long after former Epic Games president Mike Capps confirmed that Bulletstorm 2 was in development, it was announced that Epic moved People Can Fly to work on another project. That turned out to be Gears of War: Judgment , by the way. Sales for Bulletstorm were described as "good, but not amazing," as publisher EA had hoped it would do better. Therefore, Chmielarz admitted that pursuing a follow-up effort would've been a risk.

Still, we kinda wish it had happened. It was a nice little break from the all-too-serious military settings of the major FPSs today.

What annoys me is that in two years a lot of people will want a game like Bulletstorm and ask for a sequel. They won't make one because developing a good game costs so much money.

The worst part is, they spend all the money developing before they sell anything, which makes it unstable and insecure compared to other businesses.

I want Mirror's Edge 2. I am hoping Square stay and give me another Sleeping Dogs.

I've been playing them more recently but I still don't play a lot of shooters. That said, I loved Bulletstorm. It's a shame that it didn't get a sequel. All we can do take a moment for Waggleton P. Tallywacker.

Something is seriously wrong when 'good' sales aren't enough.

Publishers expecting 'amazing' sales on a new IP are insane.

Judgment=fail, they should have been allowed to work on BS2. New IPs need sequels to have amazing sales, they rarely blow up right out of the gate.

I bought Bulletstorm when it went to half price and really did enjoy the craziness.

It was a very enjoyable FPS ride that was different than most shooters. But ultimately traded it in.

A little more polish and this would have been worth putting more time into – too bad that BS2 is not going to happen, there was room for improvement in the first one.

maybe now that judgement is completed, they can go back to it?
bulletstorm 2 would make the perfect launch title for next gen platforms!
they really need to have allot more variety in the game though, the environmental kills really got repetitive quick.
same with boss battles, it was really hard to conjure up something really cool and creative.
bulletstorm was one of those games that you have much fun as you want to have with it.
unfortunately it really did not help itself in that department……
