Well…okay, but isn't that only a week early?
Not that I'm casting aspersions on the incentive in question, or anything. I would've preferred the earlier April date, though.
We've known for a while that those who purchase God of War: Ascension will get first dibs on the upcoming demo for Naughty Dog's hotly anticipated PS3 exclusive, The Last Of Us . And now, as revealed via the developer's Twitter page , we know Ascension owners will get a chance to sample Naughty Dog's epic adventure on May 31. The game had recently been delayed until June 14 and as most demos arrive the week before, doesn't this mean buying Ascension only gets you in seven days early?
That's something, anyway. Besides, the earlier we get to play The Last Of Us , the better. Right?

I want GoW A right away but it's unlikely. I need to save for DOA5+
I'm extra curious about GOW:A's low scores. Is it really the worst GoW ever made or are expectations expecting it to be something different? I'd like to know. I've read it has a more detailed combat system. That makes me interested too.
I'm semi-interested in TLOU. I'd like to see it and feel it in action, but I somewhat doubt it's my sort of game.
Judging from the demo alone it just seems like there's nothing there to look forward to. Same PS2 gameplay, QTEs that do the same stuff in the same way, a little emotion in Kratos, some basic melee MP. A game doesn't have to innovate the whole sphere of gaming but a series should really mix things up imo. And you can't underestimate the affect of already knowing how everything ends. But wow are the visuals amazing.
I thought the demo was awesome. It gave me a lot to look forward to.
The demo was simply bad ass. It certainly was everything GoW fans want in a GoW game. Im actually looking forward to the story because I've always wanted to play the narrations in GoW1. As you said the demo gave a lot to look forward too.
I know, right? The stage design is just mind blowing. I'm sure the PS3 is just being beaten and battered trying to get that thing to process. I come to GoW for awesome Greek mythological epic-scaled-action and the demo looked to deliver that in spades, not sure what people are expecting different. Though, I guess people expected GT5 to have exploding warehouses and intense car crashes to 'freshen up' the same old boring driving game =p
Can't please them all.
Thats a good point about GT5 in comparison. I really enjoyed the demo for GoW even the mp, the mp in particular felt super balanced. But even the launch trailer showed glimpses of GoW epicness at a scale that other games just cant match. Im actually very impressed with the design of the game, the enemies in particular. The enemies are always a huge part of the games and even going with a prequel theyve somehow managed to capture the importance of keeping enemies fresh, and fierce, in a series that continually raised the bar in that regards as the stories moved forward. Im very much looking forward to this game.
hm, felt tired to me.
I'm not a fan of GOW, but playing The Last Of Us is a must for me. My brother is a huge fan of GOW, so this is a perfect excuse to buy the game.
Got GOW today and the date says MAY 7th for the Demo !!!!!!
Nothin' doin, I'll get Ascension later on and I want TLoU to be a total surprise, I've ignored all the trailers past the first 10-15 seconds so far.
Already getting GOW:A so its just a added plus for me.
WTF!?
what happened to april 17!?
sigh, should of known playing a game more than 2 weeks before the release date was too good to be true!
should rename this the last of delays!
first the game gets delayed, now the demo!
whats next?
Buying and playing the last of us on june 14 ?
My hubby bought me bioshock for my birthday and I just got tomb raider this one will have to wait for me. But it sucks that demo is on hold but theirs probably a good reason I'm ok with that
