It's time to support a worthy cause. Thing is, worthy causes are all the more important when the industry is constantly under fire (or so it seems).
Videogamer: The Film is in the works and you should definitely check out the website; it's full of information concerning the movie, which focuses on innovation and the future of the video game industry.
Next, head over to the movie's Kickstarter page and help get this important film off the ground. They've got about a month to raise $100,000 and if they hit the goal, production will move forward.
Here's the description:
"Videogamer: The Film is an exciting never-been-done-before full length movie exploring the creative process of making an innovative video game (and game related products and services) and the marketing involved to make it a successful release. What makes the Halo series such a smash hit game after game as compared to cult classics like Okami or Indigo Prophecy? And how will that innovation evolved as the industry shift towards digital game downloads and next gen hardware? By combining the views of developers, publishers, studios, journalists, writers, directors and gamers across the globe, this revolutionary film will no doubt spark a much needed conversation for transparency in the gaming community and influence the future of gaming."
C'mon, put a crowbar into your wallet and help out a little. Here's something worth contributing to.
I'd love to see it but I'm broke.
Who isn't 🙁
Ain't that the truth…
Call me selfish, but I'm more interested in that Kickstarter for Shenmue 3 😉
Hit up gamestop and other stakeholders for some investments
This.
Why is it always the consumers that should be rolling out the money when corporations (typically) have so much more than us and require video games to exist (as this film will boost sales and help them out as well)?
