Sony held its annual Destination PlayStation event for retailers and general media today. A slate of anonymous sources have written in to tell us that nothing new was revealed about the PlayStation 3. Attendees were required to sign a legally binding decree of non-disclosure, so we weren't able to squeeze much in the way of specifics out of the brave "deep throats" that wrote-in.
Taking into account the recent comments from analysts and Sony's chip partner, Nvidia, today's non-news pretty much confirms that the PlayStation 3 won't ship this spring–not even to Japan.
As for when it will ship, Sony still isn't saying. The next opportunity for the company to make a big splash to the media will be during the Electronic Entertainment Expo in May. PSX Extreme will be there to bring you all the juicy details.
